A Life Dedicated to Travel & Humanitarian Projects

"Don't tell me how educated you are, tell me how much you've traveled"

I learned from an early age that, “Perhaps travel cannot prevent bigotry, but by demonstrating that all peoples cry, laugh, eat, worry, and die, it can introduce the idea that if we try to understand each other, we may even become friends.” (Maya Angelou)

From living among gangs in El Salvador and working with women's groups in Uganda, to quick weekend trips near my house, I am energized by meeting new people and learning what motivates them.

My dream and passion is to experience life around the world documenting how people experience life. I am driven by helping individuals to increase their standard of living healthcare and education.

Living in El Salvador

El Salvador, meaning The Savior in Spanish, is a beautiful country blanketed with the flora and fauna one would expect from a tropical region. Unfortunately crime is rampant and gangs have a firm grasp over most communities.

Despite the crime, the country has a lot to offer. There are volcanos, beaches, and some of the most kind-hearted individuals I have met.

Living in Uganda

I moved to Uganda for a summer and left a piece of my heart there forever. Never have I experienced such a unique culture and environment. The poverty is real, and so is the love.

Based out of Mukono, I volunteered with politicians, healthcare providers, educators, and other professionals in creating both short term and long term projects to alleviate poverty.

Living in Chile

Living in Chile sparked my passion for humanitarian work and international travel.

It was here that I began to understand the extent of poverty that exist in the world. I volunteered with orphanages, helped raise money for the local fire stations, and helped build trails at a national park.

Chile is where I learned the value of a pack of cookies, and it is where I learned that there is a highway that spans almost the entirety of the Americas.

Exploring My Own Backyard. The USA

The United States of America is where I call home.

Originally from Texas, I have lived in Georgia, Utah, Florida, and now North Carolina. I have explored many places in between.
